The kitchen has a simple in-frame construction with sharp edges and clean lines. Design details include a continuous stepped profile cornice moulding and radius corner pillars on all outside edges.
The doors are painted maple in a modern shaker style, flush-fitted on stainless steel butt hinges, with european oak cup handles and secure magnet catches.
The dovetailed drawer boxes are solid maple on secret soft-close runners with european oak cup handles, and painted maple drawer fronts in a modern shaker style.
All cabinets, doors and drawer fronts are hand-painted in French White specified by client.
The main focal point of the kitchen is a bespoke, sweeping bow-shaped island designed to tie the two rooms together.
The island has an in-frame construction in european white oak with radius quadrant pillars, and cluster oak drawer fronts, gables, panels and plinth.
The reverse-curved island doors are made in laminated european white oak with a cluster oak veneer, and have european oak cup handles. The wood surfaces are all sealed with a heat & scratch resistant lacquer finish.
The island worktop is a silestone quartz work surface with an ogee profile, installed in sections and fitted seamlessly.
Set into the work surface is an integrated under-mounted stainless steel sink with monoblock mixer tap and instant boiling water tap.
On the outside of the island is a stepped-in breakfast counter area for sitting at the island on high stools, and integrated power outlets for small appliances.
In the cooking area, a simple canopy is stepped out above induction hob, with a ducted extractor and integrated task lighting. The hob is set into a silestone quartz work surface with a chamfered profile and matching splashback.
The kitchen appliances include an integrated freezer, built-in oven and steam-oven in a combined unit. The unit also features built-in wine rack cubby holes and solid wood chopping boards with built-in stowaway. The corner cabinet also features a hidden spice rack carousel door.
The kitchen has a large double larder made from solid maple and painted by hand. The larder doors are in a shaker style with stainless steel hinges and secure magnet catches. Glazed panels display the integrated cabinet lighting inside. Additional features include itemised drawers, spice racks and adjustable shelves.
Framing the feature window are a pair of fitted dresser display cabinets with glazed doors, crafted in solid maple and hand-painted to match the rest of the kitchen. Between the dressers is a built-in window seat with dovetailed drawer box storage, and a european white oak top.
